We love starting the morning with hydration. Warm water with a squeeze of lemon would do the trick, but we've given it an extra boost with ginger. Having this prepared in advance makes your morning routine so much easier! Here are the ingredients and steps.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 WHOLE PEELED LEMONS
- PEEL OF ½ LEMON
- 25 gr FRESH GINGER
- TURMERIC
- OPTIONAL: PEPPER, PINCH OF SALT
STEPS
- Wash the lemons. Remove the peel (and the white part) and reserve the peel of ½ lemon.
- Peel the ginger with a peeler or spoon
- Put the whole lemons and ginger into the blender
- Add turmeric (pepper and a pinch of salt optional)
- Blend and strain (the pulp is discarded)
- Place in ice cube tray.
- In the mornings, you heat water and add 1 or 2 ice cubes depending on
- 
size of the ice cubes and the intensity you want the infusion. 
This infusion requires a little preparation, but every morning when I make it, I always think it was worth the time. You can also simply infuse ginger with 50-60 g of fresh ginger.
- Peel the ginger
- Boil for 10 minutes and strain.
- Refrigerate up to 3 days
You can drink it cold or warm throughout the morning to boost your metabolism and improve digestion. Let us know what you think!
