This recipe is not only healthy but also fun to prepare and eat as a family. Children can choose the ingredients they like the most and make the wrap to their liking.
INGREDIENTS:
- romaine lettuce leaves
- Dried tomato or natural tomato
- Bell pepper in strips
- Turkey breast min 90% or Iberian ham or salmon or hard-boiled egg or tuna
- Mustard and/or homemade mayonnaise
STEPS:
- Choose the largest leaves of the lettuce, those on the outside, so you can roll them better. You cut the middle stem at the base to give more flexibility to the leaf, wash them well and dry them. You can chop the leaves that you are not going to use finely so that they are part of the filling.
- You can spread the leaf on the inside with a little mustard and/or homemade mayonnaise.
- Then you add the rest of the filling ingredients (choose the protein you like the most). They do not need to be very chopped. You have to close the roll very well by pressing the lettuce leaf and rolling it so that it is well closed. If necessary we can finish with a toothpick so that it does not open.
