Cooldo Broths are made with the highest quality raw materials, bones from animals raised free-range on Spanish pastures, which respect their natural growth cycles, respecting lactation and grazing. They are not treated with hormones or given preventative antibiotics. This is key to the flavor, color, and aroma.

It also contains organic ginger and turmeric , which give it an incredible touch of flavor and provide antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Last but not least, unfiltered organic apple cider vinegar, a key ingredient for extracting all the nutrients from the bones.

Our bone broth has a perfect balance of all the ingredients and just the right touch of saltiness from the sea salt and ham bone.

Cooldo Broths are stored at room temperature, meaning they DO NOT REQUIRE REFRIGERATION until opened.

Once opened, it should be kept refrigerated and consumed within 3 days or frozen for up to 6 months.

Thanks to its sterilization, we've been able to extend its shelf life without the need for preservatives, allowing it to be stored at room temperature (up to 2 years). The expiration date is indicated on the packaging.

What happens during and after sterilization?

When the broth is subjected to high temperatures for sterilization in an autoclave (a large-scale water bath), some of the collagen chains break, and its structure changes . In cold storage (after 24 hours of refrigeration), it returns to a dense and gelatinous state, but not to what it was before sterilization. This is due to the loss of gelling capacity that collagen undergoes during this process.

Are nutrients retained after sterilization?

This worried us too! So we ran lab tests to verify it. And yes, the broth's properties remain after sterilization.

Why are some jars more gelatinous than others?

In the autoclave, there are certain areas called hot zones that receive more heat, and this means that, within the same batch, some jars gelatinize more and others less.

We've further concentrated our recipe to ensure gelatinization after sterilization. Now, enjoy the broth! Remember that it has a two-year shelf life and does not require refrigeration until opened. Once opened, it should be kept refrigerated, and that's when you'll be able to check its gelatinous state.

Cooldo Broths are ready to drink, just set them to the temperature you prefer: hot (not too hot!) or lukewarm.

Our recipe doesn't include vegetables , so if you find it too strong, we recommend a squeeze of lemon, which also boosts collagen synthesis. If, on the other hand, you find it too bland or lackluster, it's easy to fix: you can add salt or season with spices to your liking. Our favorites: curry, paprika, oregano, rosemary... it's very versatile! Here are more ideas.

Some people enjoy it cold as a gelée— gelatin by the spoonful. And of course, you can add it to soups or stews to incorporate it into your busy lifestyle. Feel free to try our recipes.

We recommend 150-300ml 3 or 4 times a week. These are our recommended intakes:

• As an accompaniment to a meal (half portion 150ml)
• Between meals (half portion 150ml)
• Meal or dinner substitute (300ml serving)
• Add it to any recipe for an extra boost of nutrients.

Bone broth is suitable for anyone at all stages of life.

Being sterilized, it is suitable for more sensitive groups (pregnant women, sick people, the elderly, children from one year old, etc.).

Contraindications:
Due to its manufacturing process, it's high in histamine, like many other long-cooked foods. Therefore, if you have an intolerance or are on a low-histamine diet, it may not be suitable for you.

No, Cooldo Broths do not contain additives or preservatives.

After 24 hours of cooking, we sterilize it with a thermal process to eliminate any microorganisms and spores that could overgrow at room temperature.
