Do you want a delicious and different appetizer? Kale and zucchini chips are a very healthy and easy snack to make. Go ahead and try it.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 branch of kale
- 1 zucchini
- Pepper
- coarse salt
- Spices to taste
- EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
STEPS:
- Cut the zucchini with a mandoline.
- Wash and drain the kale leaves well, drying them with kitchen paper. To remove the leaves, hold the stem upside down with one hand and squeeze with the other to remove the leaves. Make smaller pieces with the leaves, about bite size.
- In a bowl, mix a tablespoon of olive oil with the spices you like the most.
- Spread the mixture on the zucchini slices and kale leaves and place them on parchment paper on a baking tray.
- Bake at 160 degrees with air up and down.
- Turn them over after 10 minutes, making sure they don't burn.
- Take them out when they start to brown and let them cool.
TIP: Kale is also delicious on its own. A mixture of spices that we love is: garlic, pepper and crushed sesame seeds, but you can add paprika or basil or rosemary, or if you dare to be spicy, a touch of crushed cayenne.
