Roast chicken can be prepared in a thousand ways and is one of the most convenient dishes out there. It takes just a few minutes to prepare and is baked in the oven. We love it this way, but it's also delicious with orange. Get creative with your spices. Plant or buy pots of spices to always have fresh ones on hand; they have much more flavor than canned ones.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 whole cleaned roasting chicken
- 1 lemon, sliced, 1/2 lemon, juiced
- Thyme, oregano, and garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
- 150ml Cooldo Bone Broth
STEPS:
- Preheat oven to 170º.
- Clean the chicken well, brush it with a little olive oil and place it in a Pyrex dish.
- Squeeze the juice of ½ lemon over the top and make some cuts in the other lemon and put it inside the chicken.
- Sprinkle the herbs, garlic, salt and pepper over the chicken.
- Let it cook for one hour on one side, then flip it over and let it cook for another hour. If it's getting too brown, cover it with baking paper. When there are 30 minutes left, add 150ml of bone broth.
TIP: There's no need to add oil; the chicken releases its own juices. Sometimes we also add onion, which gives the sauce a rich flavor and can be blended with the bone broth juices.
